K K VASU

K K Vasu was born in a remote village in Kerala as the eldest of nine siblings. His father Krishnan Ezhuthachan was a poor farmer and his mother Lakshmi Amma nearly illiterate. Young Vasu grew up like his brother Raman solitary and dreamy in the company of the haunting melodies of forests. He passed the pre-university exam of Madras University and obtained first rank from the Thrissur centre. Later he specialized in Electrical Engineering. Electrical Design and control system. He is the author of more than fifty works on literature and engineering. He has been honoured with awards like the Sahitya Academy Award, the NCERT National award, topmost award from the Govt. of India (Rs. 1 lakh), International Book Fare award, Sahitya Pravarthaka Sahakarana sangham award, Kerala State Award, Balasahitya Academy Award, Rajana prize for short story, Bhima Award, P T Bhaskara Panikkar Award, Sahridaya Vedi Award, Pariyaram Mahatma Society Award and the Jeevana Award in literature. He has designed, written and presented more than 500 T V films which were telecast on Doordarshan, Kerala Govt. Channel and on Satellite Channels, respectedly. His films won Kerala State Children’s Film Festival award and Electronic Media Award. He has also won Energy Conservation Award of the Kerala Government. He designed, Built and successfully commissioned the C P (Control Pannel) of the first off shore wave Energy project of the world with the help of IIT Madras.
